BUY THIS BOOK!!!

This is a fantastic book full of key information for people who want to begin vaping. Donald Blakely is a wonderful writer who covers pro, cons, and be carefuls. His friendly, to the point, concise writing style makes me feel as though he is right beside me as a guide, teacher, and mentor. It is very easy to locate and re-read important information. Plus I learned many things I was unaware of such as such conditions such as "Vapers Tongue" and dehydration. I'm living outside the US in a large mega city in China but I'm not aware of any vaping shops like one can easily find in America. Nor can I access You Tube tutorial videos. This book and his follow up "Bigger Clouds" are valuble companions and references.
If you are thinking of starting to vape BUY THIS BOOK!!! It's a treasure trove of valuable information. In fact save yourself some time and order both "I Want To Vape" and "Bigger Clouds" together.

A great beginners guide for anybody first starting out.

Although I've been vaping for about 2 1/2 years, I still felt as though I had more to learn. So I purchased Donald Blakely's first 2 books in his 3 or 4 book series. I also purchased this first book with the idea of passing it along to any of my friends and family that want to start vaping. And I'm so glad I read it. It's a well written book that explains everything you need to know when first starting out, in the world of vaping. Mr. Blakely did a wonderful job!!! I'm so glad I purchased this book. I can now pass it down to a few of my family members that have expressed an interest in vaping. He's done a much better job of explaining all aspects of vaping, than I could EVER do!!! LoL. Thank you Donald Blakely. :-)

Well written and easy to read

Very solid set of information. Well written and easy to read. I've been vaping for a year now and it filled in a lot of gaps for me. Well worth the money. There are a few typos but that's not a big deal at all. There is some great advice in here. I will be using this as a reference in the coming months and years and I've already bought vol.2. I was a little skeptical about his credibility, but then again i'm a pretty skeptical person with some exceptions obviously. Then I realized that there are no credentials in this field and a little faith is healthy. He says he's done his research and it certainly seems like it. The book is well thought out and well organized. Scientific research moves much slower than the industry and practices of vaping and so mostly we have to rely on anecdotal evidence and of course, each other, which is one thing that is very solid about the vaping community on average. Whatever your purpose, this book is worth buying.

Can Maggie turn herself around before it's too late? Though the sympathetic protagonist is a typical high school girl, she is painted as overly na�ve, someone who always makes the wrong decision. Every choice she makes drives her deeper and deeper down a dark hole. There's no real lightbulb moment for Maggie, and through her diary, readers have to follow the doomed path. There's no character growth, and the book seems to offer teens a story of destruction rather than a cautionary tale. Nevertheless, this is an important, eye-opening read for young adults. A raw chilling account of a young girl's spiral into prostitution..

I have always liked these kind of books, I have always found the true life stories to be interesting and compelling. This one was no different. It is told in a diary format about a young girl named Maggie. Her parents are very strict and controlling about everything in her life and she longs for some freedom. She meets a friend at her high school that introduces her to prostitution. She quickly falls into the game, earning herself money and freedom as she spirals down. But her life starts to fall apart as the story continues. The story was very interesting and kept me reading to see what would happen to her next. The ending was very sad, but left some questions. The reason I gave this story 4 stars was because of the ending. It almost didn't make sense. It was very sad, after a very uplifting last few pages. So I was disappointed about the ending. But over all, I really liked the story and it really makes you think about life choices.

Great read. What life should she choose?

I flew through this book in record time and like other Anonymous novels that I have read, I really enjoyed it. In this novel, I loved its language, the emotions and the expression of the words as the characters lived their lives. Maggie spirit was caught about a third of the way into the novel and I knew that my morning would be spent with Maggie as she tries to shake off her mother-given image and uncover an image that she feels fits her better. Written in diary format, Maggie is living in her brother’s shadows and in a perceived notion her mother picked out for her. She wants to be different and hang out with the “cool’ kids but what makes them stick out to Maggie looks good now but when she tries to be like them, the affects become not so pleasing. Maggie has never done anything outside of perfection and befriending Ada, this girl who knows a lot on how to be a bad girl, Maggie is able to conceal this new friendship. Maggie idolizes Ada and Maggie finds her new destructive acts exciting and freeing and soon she finds herself in a world totally different than the world others know her in. Living now in two worlds, I wondered when these two worlds would collide and where Maggie would end up. Maggie’s mind is torn: where does she belong? She knows her mother would be disappointed in her but Maggie is enjoying her new freedom and life that Ada revealed to her yet she also misses parts of her previous life but can she go back and recapture her old life that she used to live in? I was waiting, for it was balancing act and I felt that Maggie could not exist for much longer in both of her worlds, splitting up her life so perfectly between such extreme lifestyles for something had to give. What lifestyle did I want for her? She could comprise both lifestyles but there was no way she could go back to the Maggie that she was at the beginning of the novel, innocent perfect Maggie no longer existed.

About the Author
Richard Scarsbrooks fiction and poetry have been published in numerous literary journals, magazines, and anthologies. Ford directed his first film in 1917, his last in 1965. Although many of his best-known movies re-create the mythos of the Old West, he directed enduring classics in other genres. Gallagher believes Ford's oeuvre can be placed in four "ages": introspection, idealism, myth, and mortality. These may mirror Ford's personal evolution, but he was an extremely private, complex man, so correlations are uncertain. Still, Gallagher has deftly interwoven detailed interpretations of Ford's major works with knowledgeable analysis of the man. There is also discussion of film theory in order to place Ford in the proper framework. Many books have been done on Ford (by Andrew Sarris, Peter Bogdanovich, et al.), but this is definitive and possibly one of the best of its kind. Highly recommended. John Ford: A Brilliant Film Director whose Dark Glasses hid Poetic Eyes

T. Gallagher has written an outstanding book on the films of John Ford from his primitive Westerns of the silent era through his last film "7 Women" in 1965.

Gallagher includes biographical information on the enigmatic Mr. Ford-tough guy; closet intellectual; painter of superb movie landscapes and all around genius!

Gallagher's main focus, however, is a close study of all the John Ford movies. His commentary is to be read slowly (a dictionary to look up the abstruse words he likes to use can also prove handy!). Gallagher's writing is often academic (using big words and jargon of film scholars), pedantic and obscure.

However, overall he does a good job at getting at the essence of a film's worth. Gallagher helps you to "read a Ford film" giving you new insights into the neglected genius of the fiery Irishman who made the best American movies of his time.

If you want a biography of John Ford turn to the excellent biographies by Joseph McBride or Scott Eyman among others. If you

want primarily a scholary study of the movies made by Ford then

Gallagher is for you.

I enjoyed the book and recommend it to fans of Ford or for anyone wishing to know more about this legendary director of such classics as "Rio Grande"; "Fort Apache" "She Wore a Yellow Ribbon" "The Grapes of Wrath"; "Drums Along the Mohawk"; "Young

John Ford's films

If one is searching for a biography of John Ford, this is not the book. (A suggestion--Scott Eyman's "Print the Legend" Another, with a slightly different emphasis but still with insightful observations--"John Wayne's America" by Garry Wills.) But as an analysis of specific Ford films as well as the themes he used throughout his career, this book is invaluable. Gallagher's style is a bit too academic at times, but he offers some interesting observations (His examination of the structure of "The Searchers" is particularly memorable).

I don't think customer Lee Kane is quite right when he says that Tag Gallagher's labour-of-love book is mainly about the films. Gallagher's writing is spare and lean but he gives at least as much biography as the purely biographical books.

Ben Mantle began his illustration career early, picking up his first award in a local library colouring-in competition aged seven. This book is a must for anyone who is involved with training or in giving presentations. I write and design training materials for a large corporation in which there is a constant need for training on many different levels. I have repeatedly used this book to make even the dryest of training materials fun, interesting and interative. The techniques work for all levels of employees from management down to Customer Service Reprensentatives. Now people walk away from training classes retaining far more information than before I found and began using this book. Participation and interest have greatly improved. I highly recommend this book-don't wait another minute longer to buy it!

This is one book you can really use in training.

As a professional stand up trainer, I have a number of these books. So many of them just rehash the same icebreakers and activities we've seen and done for years. This book is so refreshing, not one repeat from another book and page after page are activities I can easily incorporate. I also like that the authors talk about what is funny and what is not and offer funny ways to introduce the activities. Then there are detailed ways to debrief the activity. Good stuff!

Humor Opened Doors and Minds

I recently purchased a copy of this book as I was preparing to facilitiate a workshop on respect in the workplace. I had used games in previous training sessions but was pleasantly surprised when I came across this book.
I referred specifically to Chapter 8, dealing with reducing workplace negativity. I found that the games triggered a powerful response from the participants as their concerns became very obvious in a non-threatening way. The real benefit was what happened at the debriefing. Our discussion of issues turned into in-depth problem-solving. One participant said that an issue that had been festering with her for over three years was effectively resolved because the matter was finally discussed openly.
Fifty games set out in a manner that is easy to follow, easy to understand, and clearly focused on the concern being addressed, each game in a group probes deeper into the issues without getting personal. The final game in each group leads workshop participants to make a commitment to change. The structure of the games also permitted enough flexibility to address a group's specific workplace behaviors thereby making the exercise very relevant to the group. Based on the responses from participants in my recent workshop, the point of the games came through clearly and effectively, and will result in real change in their workplace. Very powerful catalysts, your games are.
I must also say that I am thoroughly enjoying this book! As a human resource consultant and trainer, I am always looking for new ways of thinking about change. This book is stimulating my mind to find other ways to present ideas in a fun and creative manner. Doni and Sharyn really helped make my job as a facilitator easier by giving me such powerful tools. I am keeping my eyes open to purchase other books by Doni & Sharyn to add to my library. I can hardly wait for Doni's new book, LAUGH AND LEARN: 95 WAYS PEOPLE WHO TEACH CAN USE HUMOR TO BOOST THE BRAIN.

About the Author

Roger McDonald received his Ph.D. from the University of Southern California and is currently a Professor of Nutrition at the University of California at Davis. Dr. McDonald’s research focuses on mechanisms of cellular aging and the interaction between nutrition and aging. Using rodents as models for human aging, as well as in vitro analysis of cell growth, his research has addressed two key topics in the field: the relationship between dietary restriction and lifespan, and the affect of aging on circadian rhythms and hypothalamic regulation.
