Matt LeRoy is a pastor of Love Chapel Hill, an eclectic church plant in downtown Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He is married to Sarah and dad to twin boys, Luke and Samuel.
Jeremy Summers is an ordained pastor, serves The Wesleyan Church as a denominational leader, and is passionate about spiritual formation in the church. He is married to Andrea and is the proud father of four: Macy, Ava, Micah, and Ty.

Classics for Today

Reading this book by Matt and Jeremy reminds us that the classic spiritual disciplines are relevant for today, but more importantly are not "duties to perform" but ways in which God draws us closer to himself. Too often in Christianity people are taught these disciplines are for the purpose of moving you closer to God, while Matt and Jeremy remind us the opposite is in fact the reality of the disciplines.
Thank guys for the study guides and questions throughout the book. They help us as we think about how to practice these disciplines in the context of daily living.
This book could be used in a discipleship group, as a personal study (though meant for a community setting), or for a study group. Simple, yet thought-provoking describes Awakening Grace.
